Are you sometimes dissatisfied with your completed quilt top? Do you feel your piecing skills could use some improvement? Whether you're an experienced quilter who wants to improve your quilting skills, or someone who is just getting started this is the class for you.
We will feature a different skill each week and show you a variety of techniques to help make you precise when you piece. You will learn problem solving skills - how to look at what you've done and evaluate it objectively to figure out what is causing a problem and how to fix it. You may pick and choose from the sessions offered.
Mastering the Y-Seam
Are you afraid to try 8-pointed stars and other blocks featuring diamonds and the pesky Y-seam? Bring a couple of fat quarters, a rotary cutter, mat, ruler, and your sewing machine (or use one of ours) and practice Laura's tricks for rotary cutting diamonds and sewing foolproof Y-seams. You'll leave class ready to sew all those blocks you've been avoiding.
